Wi-Fi Smart Bulbs: Plan the Router Before Buying a Whole Cart
Wi-Fi bulbs can make an easy first experiment. A room-by-room purchase needs a network and switching plan so the result stays convenient after the novelty of color control wears off.

Count sockets realistically
Count the bulbs you intend to connect and the rooms they serve. Recessed lamps, distant bedrooms and outdoor-adjacent fittings may have different network conditions even when the router is centrally placed.
Keep power available
Decide how the ordinary wall switch will be used without repeatedly removing power from connected bulbs. Explain that routine to everyone in the household before duplicating the setup across multiple rooms.
Try the difficult room
Test a representative lamp at its final location and review onboarding and everyday control. If the plan becomes large, compare a coordinated lighting system before filling the entire order with individual endpoints.
