The smart-home folder buyers should receive at closing
A completed device installation still needs a usable handover. Ask for the room list, controller location, ordinary controls and ownership transfer together, so the buyer can operate and maintain the home after the demonstration is over.

Explain the everyday actions
Show how to turn lights on, operate shades and use the chosen entry method without relying on the installer’s phone. Keep instructions short and linked to recognizable room names, rather than providing only manufacturer PDFs with no project context.
Transfer the right access
Confirm which accounts belong to the resident and which temporary setup credentials must be removed. Keep recovery and backup information private; publishing a project case study should never reveal access codes or identifying account details.
Include maintenance basics
Request exact models, battery types where relevant and an accessible service contact route. A concise folder with a dated device list makes later support and replacement easier than asking the new owner to identify every unit again.
Before you buy
- List devices by room
- Revoke temporary access
