Sell the network review before blaming the smart device
A room full of new devices cannot compensate for an unsuitable network foundation. When a customer wants a larger installation, include a review of coverage, controller locations and wired opportunities before presenting the final automation package.

Start at the actual device positions
Basements, garages and distant rooms may behave differently from the place where the router sits. Plan checks at intended locations rather than relying only on a speed result beside the internet connection or a neat-looking coverage diagram.
Keep protocols distinct
Wi-Fi coverage, a Thread border router and a product’s required bridge are related planning questions, not interchangeable accessories. Check the chosen devices’ official requirements and show the customer which infrastructure belongs in the quoted system.
Offer a grounded project brief
Send HomeTech the property layout and intended control architecture when requesting system support. A network-aware equipment proposal is easier to install and explain than a large device basket assembled before those conditions are understood.
Before you buy
- Check intended device locations
- Distinguish network roles
- List available wired paths
