A room card can make handover much easier
The best handover document is one the resident can use when they have forgotten the demonstration. Give each room a short card naming its ordinary controls, agreed scenes and the way to request help with the installed system.

Write from the resident’s task
“Turn on the reading light” is more useful than a page of controller terminology. Use the labels printed on the actual controls. Match the card to the final room, not a generic example copied before the installation changed.
Include a clear stop or override
Show how to leave a scene and resume normal operation. Where an action needs a special sequence, explain it briefly and demonstrate it. The customer should not have to guess which control restores the room after an unfamiliar setting.
Keep support references usable
Add a room or project reference that helps the support team identify the installation without displaying private credentials. HomeTech project cooperation can include discussion of technical documentation needs alongside device sourcing and local installation responsibility.
Before you buy
- Use actual control labels
- Explain normal-mode recovery
- Add a non-sensitive project reference
