A leak sensor that survives a full kitchen cabinet

Before adding a water sensor, reorganize enough cabinet space to keep its detection position and battery access clear. A small physical change can make the device more useful than choosing an extra app feature or buying another pack.

A leak point that can be inspected

Reserve a permanent spot

Choose a location that will not move whenever cleaning products are taken out. Keep the sensor where water can reach the intended detection area, without putting bottles or trays in the way of inspection.

Consider alert audibility

If local sound is part of the response, test it with cabinet doors closed and ordinary household noise present. Confirm the exact sensor and hub arrangement rather than assuming a phone alert and a local alarm are interchangeable.

Include a simple care routine

Request a named-point plan and a short periodic test checklist. Add a photo of the final location to household notes, so a cleaner or new resident can put the sensor back after clearing the cupboard.
