A guest washroom needs a clear light, not a surveillance feature
For a guest washroom, an obvious light control and an optional gentle night setting are usually more useful than a complex sensor package. Keep privacy and manual operation central to the purchase from the start.

Start with first-time use
Check whether the light control is visible from the entrance. A visitor should not need to discover a gesture, install an app or wait in the dark to understand the room’s everyday operation.
Choose the protected position
A night-light plan must use equipment rated for its exact position. Keep ordinary indoor sensors out of unsuitable wet locations, and do not treat a generic motion-control proposal as permission to place any device anywhere.
Buy a modest scene
Ask for manual on/off plus one optional low-light scene. If automatic control is included, make the timeout generous and retain an accessible override so a quiet seated guest is not left without light.
