Smart Power Strip or Individual Plugs for a Media Cabinet?
A smart strip can organize several devices in one place; individual plugs give more freedom across sockets. Decide which equipment should switch together and which must keep its power.

Separate critical power
Keep network and control equipment out of casually switched groups unless the system has a deliberate recovery plan. Turning off the device that delivers the command can make a clever scene frustrating.
Check outlet spacing
Large adapters and cable bends can consume more room than the outlet count suggests. Compare actual plug shapes, cabinet ventilation and the reach of manual buttons before deciding on one compact strip.
Review total load
Add the intended connected loads and confirm the exact strip’s individual and combined ratings. Ask for a labeled switching plan so a guest does not accidentally disconnect the router while looking for the television.
