Customer training should end with the customer operating the room

A long technical explanation can leave a resident less confident than a short practical session. Focus on the actions they will use every day, then ask them to perform those actions while the installer is still available to clarify.

Different ecosystems, one documented plan

Teach a few ordinary tasks

Start with lights, agreed scenes and manual overrides. Use the actual buttons and labels in the property. Keep advanced configuration separate from everyday use, so the resident does not feel they must understand the entire controller to live comfortably.

Check a forgotten-step scenario

Ask how they would return to normal lighting or find the short room card later. This checks the usefulness of the handover material without inventing a formal usability score. Revise confusing labels while the system and customer are together.

Make follow-up expectations clear

Describe the local support route and how a requested new scene differs from a fault. Integrators working with HomeTech can discuss documentation and technical backup as part of a project, while retaining responsibility for clear local customer handover.
