Home Assistant Green: Budget for the Radios, Not Just the Box
Home Assistant Green is a dedicated starting point for running Home Assistant. Your intended Zigbee or Thread devices still determine the additional radio hardware and setup work.
Start with existing equipment
List what is already installed and how each product connects. An existing network integration and a device needing a new radio adapter are different additions, even if both appear in one dashboard.
Add the right adapter
The official ZHA documentation calls for a Zigbee coordinator. Select supported radio hardware for the intended network, rather than assuming the Green enclosure already supplies every smart-home radio.
Choose your support level
Ask whether the quote includes integration setup, backups and a handover guide. This is a good purchase for an owner who values control and has a realistic maintenance arrangement.
