Two sleepers, two bedside controls
A shared bedroom benefits from independent bedside lights and controls before an elaborate sleep scene. Each person should be able to read or turn their own light off without taking over the other side of the room.

Choose individual pools of light
Check the beam and shade of each lamp from both pillows. A dimmable light still disturbs the other sleeper if it shines directly across the bed. Placement and shielding come before app features or decorative color choices.
Give each side a control
Place a reachable control where it can be found in the dark. If you want a whole-room goodnight action, make it distinct from the button for a single bedside light so accidental presses have a predictable result.
Order around the bed layout
Send the bed width, outlets and lamp models with the request. Ask for two independent lighting branches first; shared shading or climate routines can be added once both sleepers agree on their operation.
