Retrofitting a Roller Blind Motor: Measure the Tube, Not Just the Fabric
A retrofit roller-blind motor must suit the existing tube and mounting arrangement. Measure the internal hardware properly before buying a kit based only on the visible width of the blind.

Look behind the fabric
Identify the tube size, blind width and current end fittings. The manufacturer offers size-specific requirements, so a photograph of the lowered fabric alone cannot establish that the upgrade kit will fit.
Include the brackets
Show the available mounting surfaces and nearby trim, then check the required supports and clearances. The motor becoming hidden inside a tube does not make the surrounding installation detail irrelevant.
Finish the control plan
Confirm the chosen kit’s power, charging and controller requirements. Ask for full travel calibration and a demonstration using the intended platform before deciding whether to repeat the upgrade across other windows.
