Center-Opening Curtains: How Many Retrofit Motors Belong on the Quote?
Motor quantity follows the moving curtain panels and supported setup, not just the number of windows. Show the complete opening pattern before comparing a single-device price with a room quotation.
Sketch the movement
Mark which panels travel left and right and whether they should move together. Include any fixed decorative panel so the installer does not count non-moving fabric as another powered section.
Check each running path
A center-opening arrangement can contain joints or obstacles on either side. Provide the rod or rail detail for both travel paths rather than assuming one successful fit proves the entire opening works.
Compare the complete assembly
Ask for motor quantity, mounting pieces, the required hub and coordinated control setup as separate line items. This makes a two-panel result easier to compare with alternatives than a tempting one-motor headline price.
