Ask for a useful introduction permission

A referral works better when the customer understands the introduction. Explain the business you will connect them with, the project question to discuss and the contact information you propose to share, then keep within that agreement.

Bring the project into the conversation

Tie permission to a purpose

“Can I introduce you for a lighting proposal?” is more specific than asking to pass a name around. Keep the customer’s selected topic with the introduction so the receiving team can begin with the expected conversation.

Let the customer choose the route

Some people prefer to submit their own enquiry or join a short introduction message. Others may agree to a direct call. Use the chosen route instead of assuming that interest in a product permits every form of follow-up.

Bring an authorized brief

When discussing referral cooperation with HomeTech, include the project context and the permission scope. The business can then agree on an appropriate next step while keeping personal information and any referral terms within the actual cooperation arrangement.

Before you buy

  • Name the receiving business
