One Wide Camera or Two Targeted Views for a Driveway?

A broad overview and a close identification view solve different problems. Compare camera positions on a driveway sketch before deciding that a wider image can replace every additional camera.

Give each view a purpose

An overview can show a vehicle’s movement, while a tighter angle may better serve the entrance. Label those jobs separately, including any areas that should stay outside the frame.

Watch for blocked angles

A parked van, fence or seasonal plant can obscure the important detail. Consider how the driveway is normally used, rather than judging camera coverage only from an empty daytime photograph.

Compare installed systems

Ask for one-camera and two-camera quotations with cabling, PoE capacity and storage included. The better value is the arrangement that captures the needed evidence with an understandable review process.
