No Neutral Wire? Choose the Dimmer After the Circuit Assessment
A no-neutral product can be useful in an older switch box, but the wiring is only half the decision. The connected lamp type and load must suit the exact device too.

Confirm what is actually present
Have an electrician identify the circuit and usable conductors rather than relying on wire color in a photograph. Box space and existing multi-location control should be recorded at the same visit.
Ask about the lamps
Provide bulb or driver model numbers and the quantity on the circuit. A no-neutral claim does not by itself guarantee smooth dimming, low-level behavior or suitability for every LED driver.
Include an acceptance test
Request a test for flicker, low-end operation and normal manual control using the intended lamps. Select the control after that fit is established, not simply because it can be energized.
