Manufacturer program or sourcing partner: which do you need?
The answer depends on the job you want to do. A store seeking a mixed-brand assortment has a different immediate need from an installer pursuing a manufacturer’s specific training or access to a particular product line.

Name the business objective
If you need devices for an agreed project, start with a precise sourcing list. If you need a manufacturer role or program access, review that manufacturer’s application route. Lutron, Aqara and other brands describe distinct professional or reseller pathways.
Keep claims attached to approval
A helpful distributor or project partner cannot automatically confer every manufacturer status. Ask which arrangements are actually available and documented. Avoid using program badges merely because the products themselves can be sourced through a business relationship.
Explain your role to HomeTech
Say whether you want procurement, dealer cooperation, local installation support or a regional store. This allows a concrete discussion of the relevant HomeTech track while keeping separate manufacturer approvals on their own documented terms.
Before you buy
