Fixed-Lens Security Camera: Choose the View You Need to Recognize
A camera covering the whole yard is not necessarily the best camera for a doorway. Choose the scene in which a person or event must be recognizable, then compare lens options.

Draw the target area
Mark the gate, vehicle space or approach path that matters. Mounting height and distance change what appears in the image, so a product’s resolution figure cannot decide the lens by itself.
Ask for a framing check
Share a photo from the planned mounting point and describe the desired identification task. Request an appropriate model comparison rather than buying a wider view simply because it sounds more comprehensive.
Complete the recording chain
Confirm power, network path and storage with the selected camera. A well-framed image is only useful later if the recorder and retrieval process also meet the project’s needs.
