Buying TV-Synchronized Lighting: List the HDMI Sources First
A television lighting effect is a signal-path purchase as well as a lamp purchase. Start with the devices that supply your picture and sound, then specify the compatible lighting arrangement.

Draw the connections
List the streaming box, game console, receiver and television ports you plan to use. The position of an HDMI sync device affects which sources can reach the lighting system.
Check the wanted formats
Ask about the exact resolution, refresh-rate and audio requirements of your sources. A successful basic picture does not by itself show that every gaming and home-theater feature is preserved.
Order a working chain
Include the required bridge, lights, cables and setup in the proposal. Ask for one complete playback demonstration using your intended source instead of approving the hardware from separate product descriptions.
