Reachable light controls for a seated route
For a wheelchair route or another seated-use layout, control placement can matter more than additional automation. Map the actual approach and reach with the resident, then choose devices that provide clear operation without stretching across furniture or relying on a phone.

Review the approach angle
Check the doorway, turning space and where the hand naturally reaches. A wall position that seems convenient while standing may be awkward from the chair, particularly if doors or furniture block the side approach.
Keep actions predictable
Use one obvious result per button at first. Confirm the compatible lighting branch and preserve a reachable manual action if a sensor-based scene is also added, instead of making automatic detection the only way to use the lights.
Ask for a placement trial
Request removable trial positions before final fixing, where the installation permits. The quote should explain mounting, control operation and any electrical work separately, so a useful reach improvement is not lost within a broad gadget package.
