Ask which firmware was used for the supplier demonstration
A useful demonstration should be reproducible. When a supplier shows an important integration, record the models, controller and software versions involved so your team knows what combination produced the result before placing a project order.

Record only relevant versions
Focus on the device firmware and platform details that govern the desired action. Keep these with the acceptance note. A newer version is not automatically an acceptable substitute if it changes setup, supported features or the handover process.
Plan for updates deliberately
Agree who reviews changes before a batch installation or showroom refresh. Avoid updating every demonstration device immediately before a scheduled customer session. A documented rollback or recovery approach depends on the actual products and supported procedures.
Attach the baseline to sourcing
Send the demonstrated configuration to HomeTech with the requested functions. It supports a more precise technical conversation and avoids treating an attractive video as evidence that any current stock combination will produce the same experience.
Before you buy
- Record demonstrated versions
- Assign update review
- Retain supported recovery notes
