A shade sample sells movement; measurements sell the right order
A working shade sample makes the benefit easy to see. It does not establish whether the same drive fits a customer’s window. Build the buying conversation around the opening, existing hardware and desired manual control.

Display the mechanism
Let visitors see which parts move and which remain fixed. A curtain-track retrofit, roller-shade motor and complete replacement shade are different purchases. Put those distinctions beside the sample rather than hiding them in a later quotation.
Collect more than width
Request photographs of brackets, track or tube, available power and obstruction points. Product-specific dimensional requirements still apply. For Matter-over-Thread choices, the home’s controller and border-router arrangement also belongs in the assessment.
Quote after the fit check
Offer a measurement appointment or a clear photo checklist before accepting a final configuration. A HomeTech store discussion can include which shade demonstrations fit your sales space and which orders need a site survey.
