Keep the roller blind, replace the operating effort
A roller-blind retrofit can be worth considering when the fabric and mechanism are still good but daily operation is inconvenient. The key buying question is mechanical fit, not whether the motor’s app has an attractive interface.

Inspect the existing blind
Record the tube type, clearances and how freely the blind moves by hand. A binding or damaged blind needs attention before adding a motor; motorizing a poor mechanism can leave the original problem in a less accessible place.
Check the upgrade kit scope
The Eve Motionblinds upgrade route is specific to suitable roller blinds. Compare the manufacturer’s fit guidance with your measurements, and ask which adapters, charging provisions and compatible home controller are included in the proposed scope.
Compare replacement honestly
Ask for retrofit and replacement options when the mechanism is close to its practical limit. Retaining a blind is useful only when it still gives the desired light control and can be serviced after the motor is installed.
Before you buy
