A store should know which support question it owns
Clear support boundaries make a product easier to buy. A customer should know where to ask about the supplied hardware, the installation work and a third-party account, without being passed between several companies after handover.

Separate three kinds of help
A device fault, a changed Wi-Fi password and a requested new automation are different jobs. Describe how each request enters support and which information is needed. Avoid implying that every future change is included in the original installation.
Keep a usable device record
Store the agreed model and installation references in the project’s handover record, with customer information handled privately. A support colleague should be able to identify the installed combination without asking the homeowner to rebuild the entire history.
Discuss backup support before opening
Bring HomeTech a realistic picture of your local service team. Discuss technical backup and escalation for the products you intend to sell, so your showroom’s promise matches the support arrangement you can actually deliver.
Before you buy
- Separate faults from changes
- Keep exact installation records
- Agree on escalation ownership
